Road marking

We mark streets, roads and car parks across Estonia. Our materials and methods meet the standards in force in Estonia and the requirements of the Transport Administration.

Road marking | RPE
What it includes

What we mark

We apply road surface markings on both public roads and private property.

Lane lines
Pedestrian crossings
Parking bay markings
Disabled parking bays
Cycle path and footpath markings
Direction arrows and other road markings

When to order?

Good results need a clean, dry surface and preferably temperatures above +10 °C. That is why marking work is done from spring to autumn, and the schedule fills up quickly.

If you are planning to refresh a car park or mark a new area, send us your enquiry early. Then we can find a time that suits you.

Public road or private property

On a public road, markings are applied according to a design approved by the road owner. If traffic must be restricted during the work, you also need a temporary traffic management plan and approval. On private property, such as a shopping centre car park or a warehouse yard, the owner decides on the markings. Even then, it is worth following the road marking standard EVS 614, so drivers understand the markings. If needed, we can help you plan the layout of the markings.

What to include in your enquiry

For a quote, we need the location and approximate size of the area, the types of markings, and whether the markings are new or a refresh of old ones. If you have a car park plan or design, attach it. The price depends on the number of lines and markings, the condition of the surface, the material, and whether the work must be done at night or by closing the area in sections.

Car parks

For car parks, we also help you plan the layout so the space is used well.

If traffic needs to be rearranged

If traffic has to be diverted during the work, we also handle the traffic management plan, approval and markings.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does the car park need to be empty during line marking?

Yes, the area being marked must be clear of cars. A large car park can be done in sections, so the remaining spaces stay in use. The work can also be done in the evening or at the weekend, when the car park is less busy. We agree the closure time before the work.

Do you mark disabled parking spaces and pedestrian crossings?

Yes. We mark disabled parking spaces, pedestrian crossings, parking spaces, traffic lanes, cycle paths and footpaths, and direction arrows. On a public road, we work according to an approved design. On private property, we help you choose markings that are clear to drivers and comply with standard EVS 614.

Do road markings need approval?

On a public road, markings are changed with the road owner's consent. If traffic is restricted during the work, you also need a temporary traffic management plan. On private property, approval is generally not needed. We can prepare the plan and get the approval ourselves, so you do not need to deal with the authorities.

How often should car park markings be renewed?

It depends on the traffic volume, the condition of the surface and winter maintenance. Markings wear faster in busy areas. When the lines are hard to see or missing in places, it is time to renew them. Send us a photo or the address and we will assess the situation.

What does car park line marking cost?

It depends mainly on the number of lines and markings, the size of the area, the condition of the surface and the material used. It also depends on whether the area must be cleaned first and whether the work must be done in sections or outside normal working hours. We give an exact quote based on a plan or a description of the area.
