Trailer-mounted warning barriers

Trailer-mounted warning barriers warn and guide road users during roadworks on major roads.

A trailer-mounted warning barrier
Use

When you need a warning barrier

On high-speed, busy roads where the start of the work zone must be visible from far away.

Lane closures on highways
Mobile work, such as mowing and road marking
Emergency work, where the site must be signed and closed off quickly
For emergency work, we bring a barrier at short notice
Why on a trailer

Ready to work straight away

The trailer is hitched to a vehicle and towed to the site. No lifting equipment is needed and the barrier is ready to work straight away.

Fewer people have to work in traffic, and when the work site moves on, the barrier moves with it. On mobile work, the barrier follows the work crew.

What to describe in your enquiry

For a quote, we need the road number or address, the speed limit, the work dates, and whether the work is static or mobile. Also tell us whether the barrier must stand around the clock or only during working hours. If the same job also needs a traffic management plan, signs or traffic controllers, tell us that too, so we can put the solution together in one go.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I order a trailer-mounted warning barrier for emergency work?

Yes. For emergency work, we deliver a barrier at short notice. Call +372 646 1616 during office hours and +372 507 1780 outside office hours. Describe where the work is and what kind of road it is, so we can decide faster what to bring.

Do I need a traffic management plan to use a warning barrier?

On a public road, the barrier must be part of the traffic management approved by the road owner. On a national road, the Transport Administration (Transpordiamet) approves it. On a local road, the rural municipality or city does. If needed, we prepare the plan, get it approved and add signs and traffic controllers. This way, you get the whole solution from one place.

Is a trailer-mounted warning barrier suitable for mobile work?

Yes. For mobile work, such as mowing and road marking, the barrier moves with the work crew. This means signs do not need to be moved after each section, and fewer people are on the carriageway. In your enquiry, give the road number, how long the work lasts and the type of work, and we will put together a suitable solution.

What is the difference between a warning barrier and a TMA?

A warning barrier is a trailer-mounted sign unit that warns drivers from a distance and guides traffic. A TMA is a vehicle with an attenuator that absorbs the energy of a collision and protects workers from rear-end impacts. You can order both from us, together if needed.
